Need to earn Experiential Learning hours for graduation? Join us Monday, June 1, from 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. at Philip Barbour High School.

Students will help unload and move items at the school and can earn their required experiential learning hours.

Due to high water, Barbour County Schools will be on a 2hr delay, tomorrow, Thursday, May 28, 2026.

Due to weather conditions and the potential for flooding in parts of the county, Barbour County Schools will dismiss two hours early today. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. Please use caution while traveling and allow extra time as buses may experience delays on some routes due to high water or road conditions. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Bus announcement for Tuesday, May 19, 2026: Bus 114B, on the Junior and Belington end of the county, will not be running in the morning. It will be running in the afternoon.  Bus 103B will transport the Junior Elementary shuttle students in the morning.

Barbour County Schools Announces USDA Summer Food Program Barbour County Schools is pleased to announce participation in the USDA Summer Food Program to help ensure children in our community have access to nutritious meals throughout the summer months. This year, Barbour County Schools will offer weekly meal box deliveries, providing 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches per child, conveniently shipped directly to students’ homes. Eligibility: All children ages 1–18 residing in Barbour County are eligible to participate. How to Sign Up: A parent or guardian must register to request meal box delivery. Bus announcement for Monday, May 18, 2026: Bus 114B and bus 103B, on the Junior and Belington end of the county, will not be running tomorrow afternoon. There will not be a Junior Shuttle bus tomorrow afternoon.

Due to mechanical issues, Bus 103-B, will not be running this afternoon. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Bus announcement for Friday, May 15, 2026: Bus 120B on the Philippi and Kasson end of the county, will not be running this afternoon.

📢 Important Notice for PBHS Families Tomorrow, Philippi-Barbour High School will operate on a Remote Learning Day due to water line issues affecting the building. 💻 Students will complete assignments through Google Classroom and should check for communication from their teachers. 👩‍🏫 PBHS Staff will report to Philippi Middle School (PMS). Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we work through this issue

An additional bus announcement for Wednesday, April 15, 2026: Bus 103B, on the Junior end of the county, will not be running tomorrow afternoon.

Bus announcement for tomorrow Wednesday, April 15, 2026: Starting Wednesday, April 15,2026: Bus 113B on the Kasson/Belington end of the county will be operating on its regular schedule morning and evening. Bus 105-22 will still operate currently as is due to the driver helping to cover another route. Bus 108B, on the Philippi end of the county, will be running its regular schedule in the morning but will be approximately 20 minutes later in the evening.  PB students for bus 108B,  will need ride bus 2502 to Philippi Middle School and wait at Philippi Middle School for their bus home.  This arrangement for 108B will be in effect until the vacancy is filled. Thank you!

Bus announcement for tomorrow Tuesday, April 14, 2026: Bus 36-22, on the Belington end of the county, will not be running tomorrow afternoon. It will be running tomorrow morning.

Bus announcement for Friday, April 10, 2026: Bus 124B on the Philippi end of the county and bus 2501 on the Kasson end of the county will not be running tomorrow afternoon. They will be running in the morning.

Bus announcement for today, Wednesday, April 9, 2026: Bus 21B, on the Philippi end of the county, will not be running.

Philip Barbour High School students will be on a non-traditional learning day for today due to unforeseen circumstances. All staff will report to the library at PMS. Students will need to complete assignments remotely on their Chromebooks.

Good evening! We hope you had a very enjoyable Spring Break and we are excited to see everyone tomorrow! We have two important reminders as you return to school on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. Students, please, charge your chrome books and have them ready for classes. Also, if you have not turned in your signed course request papers, they are past due. Please be sure to bring them back and turn them in tomorrow. Thank you and have a great evening.

Attention 10th & 11th grade students:
Signed course request forms are due Friday, March 27.

Forms not returned will result in approval-required courses being removed and other courses added. To choose your own courses, you must return your signed form.
