Thank you for visiting the website of Junior Elementary School. 2024 - 2025 school year is my very first year serving as a principal. However, I have been a teacher for 16 years. I was a Title I Interventionist in Upshur county for almost 8 years and then I was a math & reading interventionist  with the West Virginia Schools of Diversion and Transition (Elkins Mountain School & Genesis Youth Center). I am a certified trauma & resiliency practitioner and as of December 2024, I am a National Board Certified Math teacher! 

I live in Weston with my husband and 2 sons. My husband has served the WV Army National Guard for over 24 years. I serve as the advisor for the Soldier & Family Readiness Group for his unit. The military is near and dear to my heart. I am a Purple Star Military Point of Contact through the WV Department of Education and I will be working towards making our school a Purple Star School. Information about that can be found under Common Ground on the WVDE website. 

I am looking forward to this school year with all the students, staff, and families at JES. I've already been shown how wonderful this community is!
